Passport requirements

You are required to have a valid passport to enter Mexico. Your passport must remain valid during the entirety of your stay, and it is recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months from the time of entry.

Visa requirements

There are different types of Mexican visas available depending on the length of your stay, your passport and the purpose of your visit.

Use the visa finder tool to determine which visa best fits your needs.

If you do require a visa, we encourage you to begin the visa application process as soon as possible.

Additional documents before your travel

Prior to entering Mexico, you will need to complete a Multiple Digital Migration Form (FMMd). The airline will provide you with your FMMd upon arrival in Mexico, or you can complete the form online prior to your departure.

FMMd online form

Remember to keep the FMMd in a safe place during your trip. You will be asked for it at your departure from Mexico.

Purpose of travel: tourism or business

As Lions International Convention is a celebration of our Lions around the world, the declared purpose of your visit is Tourism, unless you will also be conducting business during your visit.

As a tourist, you may be asked to provide documents regarding your hotel reservation, trip itinerary, and return tickets home or to another country.

Letter of invitation

A letter of invitation to convention should not be required. However, if it is requested, you will be able to download one from the confirmation email sent after completing your convention registration.
